How to Use Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is something that I find a lot of home based business owners don't know a whole lot about and they should because it can really help them promote their business online. So what is social bookmarking? Well you know the bookmarks that you have on your computer? It's just like that except instead of your bookmarks being just for you anyone can look at them.

Social bookmarking is great for a lot of reasons but the main one is backlinks. By posting your website, youtube channel, blog, articles and everything else on a social bookmarking site you're getting more exposure and you're also building backlinks by sort of piggybacking off of the popularity of a much bigger site. Does that make sense? If not that's ok you don't really need to know exactly how social bookmarking works all you need to know is that it DOES work and it will get you more traffic to your site.

Social bookmarking is free so it's a great tool for the home business marketer who wants to work online but doesn't have a lot of money to spend on advertising. When you have a limited budget (like most home business owners do in the beginning) you have to be creative and make the most out of what you do online.

Social bookmarking can help you to get more out of what you're already doing. That means more hits on your blog, more views on your videos and more people reading your articles. If you're doing anything to market your home based business online it just makes sense to use social bookmarking.

There are a ton of really popular social bookmarking sites online and each of them is free. I can't tell you how to use each one because they are all different but most of them are extremely easy to learn and it shouldn't take you more than a few minutes to get a good idea of what you're doing.

So get more out of your online marketing by using social bookmarking it's a step that is well worth taking.

4 Simple Tips to Make Your Business Grow Faster

Everyone wants to know how to make their home based business grow faster. I don't know if you've noticed this about our society but we just don't like to wait. While there really isn't any way to speed up your income completely there are a few things that you can do that will help you reach your goals faster. Here are a few tips that should help you out...

1. Talk To Everyone You Know - People always want to avoid talking to their friends and family for some reason but if you really want to fast track your success the easiest thing to do is talk to people you already know. And you shouldn't just limit it to friends and family. Talk to anyone and everyone that you come into contact with on a regular basis. Co-workers, church members, moms and dads at your child's school... ect. It might feel a little weird at first but you never know who might be interested in working from home and there sure is no harm in asking.

2. Spend Money Wisely - If you spend your money wisely you can make a lot back very quickly. You don't have to spend a fortune to market your home based business. But if you spend a little bit in the right way it can really pay off. Think of simple things that you can do to invest in your business. When you invest in your home based business you're really just investing in your future happiness.

3. Push Yourself - Everyone has their own personal comfort zones. If you want to give your business a jump start see what you can do to really push yourself out of it. Talk to someone you wouldn't normally talk to. Stay up an hour later marketing yourself online. Spend a little extra money to get back even more. Whatever your personal comfort zone is just push yourself a little bit out of it. You don't have to do anything too crazy but sometimes that extra 30 minutes of work can really push you over the edge from a little success to a lot.

4. Keep It Simple - A home based business is really very simple. It's just telling people about your business and your products. If you feel like you're not getting enough of what you want go back to the basics. We tend to over complicate something that is really very simple. Just talk to people! It really is that easy.

Why More And More Teachers Are Joining Home Based Businesses

Being a teacher is an incredibly important and rewarding job. And as great as it is any teacher will tell you that they became a teacher for the kids not the paycheck. Teachers are notoriously under paid so many of them are looking for other ways to make a little (or a lot) of extra money. In the past few years more and more teachers have decided to join a home based business and do something part time that can make them more money each and every month.

One of the greatest advantages to teachers working from home is that they have the summertime off. That means that they have a good chunk of time where they can really focus on and start to build their business without having to also work at their full time job. Of course you can't build a huge income in just a summer but you can get your business off to a great start in those summer months.

Another reason why teachers are loving home based businesses is because it allows them to help people and that is something that they are already good at. You can make money and at the same time help other people make or save money themselves and that is a truly great thing.

Teachers are also good communicators which is very helpful when you are telling someone about a product or service that you're marketing or telling them about a business opportunity.

For all of these reason teachers make great home based business owners. In fact the drawbacks are very minimal because working from home part time will allow them to be better and more full focused teachers. Imagine being able to do what you really love and not having to worry about finances or struggling to pay all the bills.

For teachers working from home and building a home based business just plain makes sense.

What Should I Do If My Husband/Wife Isn't Supportive?

One of the hardest things to deal with is when you want to start a home based business and your spouse for whatever reason isn't supportive of that dream. So what are you suppose to do when your husband or wife tells you they don't want you to work from home? Should you do it anyway?

First of all I want to say that you shouldn't do anything that is going to put your marriage in a bad spot. Marriage is important. However, I think it's important to know just how serious they are about not wanting you to work from home. Is it something that is going to cause a huge problem or do they just not really believe in it. If that answer is that they just simply don't understand where you're coming from then you can work with that.

Make sure that your husband or wife knows that one of the reasons why you want to work from home is them. Let them know that you want to create a better life for them and let them know all the ways that you believe your lives could be better once you start working from home. Also, make sure that you really listen to them and find out where they are really coming from. Many times if you really listen instead of getting defensive you can hear what they are really trying to say and you can help to make them see that working from home really can be for the best.

Also, make sure that you are still doing what you would normally do at home. If a spouse is already unsupportive then you're not going to make things better by not keeping the house clean, not mowing the yard to not spending time with him or her. Just make sure that you keep your home life as regular as possible because that will help them to see that you're not doing this to get out of other household things.

I believe that if you listen to your spouse and work hard to show them that you are doing this for the good of the family they will eventually come around. It might take some serious time but it will happen. It might even take you getting a really big check in the mail for them to really see the light but once you're making money and you're able to do things you weren't able to do before they will come around!
