Affiliate Marketing Vs. Network Marketing

Easily two of the best and most popular ways of making money from home are affiliate marketing and network marketing. Both methods can produce huge results and a lot of money for someone who knows how to do them well. So which one is the best bet for someone who wants to create a stable income from home? Here are my thoughts on the issue…

For the sake of this article I’m going to assume that you know what both of these methods are. If you need more information about either network or affiliate marketing there is a ton of information out there so be sure to check that out!

In my opinion network marketing is generally a little bit easier for the extreme internet marketing newbie. So if you’ve never really done any marketing online before that is probably going to be your best bet. Affiliate marketing requires a bit more knowledge about creating websites, creating videos, pay per click and SEO.

However, one great thing about affiliate marketing is that you don’t have to worry about training or signing anyone else up. You are simply marketing a product and that’s it. In fact you really have to talk to people very little in affiliate marketing. Network marketing is generally better for people who don’t mind getting on the phone and having a conversation with a live person.

Network marketing is also better if you want a more stable type of income. While you can have good months and bad months in affiliate marketing. Of course the better you get at affiliate marketing the more you can control how much you make each month but in general network marketing is a better option as far as stability goes since you get residual income that tends to grow rather than go up and down and up again.

Those are just some facts about affiliate marketing and network marketing. I hope that you choose the option that is best for you. Just remember that each method takes hard work and consistency but both are extremely rewarding for the business owner!

Do You Have a Network Marketing Mindset

Running a home based business is not for everyone. Lets face it, anyone can run out and spend the money to join any one of the hundreds of companies selling everything from shampoo to vitamins, even power and natural gas! But if you do not have the proper mindset you will not be successful. If you are going to be a successful network marketer you need to get your head in the game and think about your business nonstop. It is true that there are many steps you have to do to get your business up and running, but if you do not have a clear mindset of what it will take to start and the positive energy to get the business up and running, then you will fail. Take the time to think about what you need to do, how to do it, and what you need to learn before you can do it. Minimize your mistakes by talking with others in the business field or by reading books on the subject. This will help you save time and money.

After the start up basics, sit down and think about what you need to do to motivate yourself. It can be true that WE can be our biggest obstacle in creating success, remove those hurdles by having a well thought out plan as well as create daily, weekly, and monthly checklists of not only things you need to get done but of your goals as well!

Setting daily and short term goals will keep you focused. It will also give you the much needed sense of accomplishment. I am not a huge fan of long term goals because they encourage procrastination. Yes! Someday I would like to be a millionare! While that is a great goal, it leaves a lot of room for that someday to never happen. Instead focus your mind on short term goals....today I am going to expose my business to 3 people. This week I am going to create a website for my business and this month I am going to drive one thousand visitors to my website. By setting and attaining short term goals you will stay motivated and grow your business. Then one day you will look at your bank account and say wow I earned....

3 MLM Lies You Need to Know

Multi level marketing, or MLM, is a great way to make money from home. For many people it’s the only way that really makes sense. However, as great as MLM is there are some very popular lies about the industry that you need to know if you’re thinking about becoming involved in this controversial industry. In this article I will be going over the top three lies about MLM that you need to know if you want to build a business from home.

1. MLM is illegal or a scam

Talking to people about my home based business I have found this lie to be perhaps that most popular. So let me clear this up right now… MLM is 100% legal. MLM is also not the same as a pyramid scheme which by the way is illegal. Multi level marketing is a legitimate form of business. How else would some companies be able to stay in business for decades?

Yes, MLM is legal, moral and ethical and anyone who tells you different doesn’t have all the facts. It is just as legal as the job you have right now.

2. MLM will allow you to get rich overnight

You can not get rich overnight in MLM. Yes, depending on the company you join with there are often bonuses and ways of making money up front but that doesn’t mean you’ll sign up today and be rich by the weekend. For most people it takes around 2 years or sometimes more to reach their ultimate income goals. Of course some people do it much faster and some people it will take a little longer it just depends. It’s all about how much you work the business.

3. MLM will make your rich without any effort

MLM is a type of business and just like every other type of business if you don’t work it it won’t work for you! No legal business will promise you money without effort. You will have to work your business and put in the time and effort needed for success. However, when you do that you’ll find that MLM is much easier and much more rewarding than a traditional business.

Now that you know the truth about MLM you can find the business that’s right for you.

How to Build a Twitter Following

How To Build Your Very Own Personal Twitter Army!

Twitter is probably one of the most talked about ways of marketing online in recent history. People seem to either love it or have no idea what to do with it. The truth is that Twitter can be a powerful tool in your online marketing arsenal if you know how to use it correctly. By building up an army of passionate excited followers you can generate more sales and get the word out about your business much faster! In this article I’m going to give you some simple tips that will help you build your very own Twitter army!

1. Keep it casual and personal

If all of your tweets are about your business you’re going to have a very hard time keeping followers. That’s why you should only post 1 business related tweet to every 25 personal tweets. People don’t like to feel like their being sold on something so post too much about your business and your followers will drop like flies! People want to know more about you, what you’re doing, what you’re watching, what you’re thinking about. Keep it personal and only slip in an occasional tweet about your business or product and people will be excited to read everything you tweet!

2. Follow lots of people

If you follow lots of people chances are they will follow you right back. So if you’re new to Twitter and you’re trying to get a lot of followers just start following as many people as you can. As you become better known in the Twitterverse you can stop following some people and only follow the one’s you’re really interested in. Also, you want your followers to be people who would potentially be interested in your business or product so try to follow people like that.

3. Don’t send spam messages

Direct messages are a great way to talk to people without posting it on your Twitter home page. Many people send out direct messages to their newest followers. That’s a good thing to do. However, don’t send out a spammy first message to someone. A simple “thanks for following” can be really effective. Remember that you never have a second chance to make a first impression!

4. Have an interested background and profile picture

You have to make your page stand out so design a good looking custom background for your Twitter page. That will ensure that more people will remember you.

5. Create backlinks to your Twitter page

Ideally you want people to be able to organically find your Twitter page. So get your URL out there as much as possible. This will create backlinks and will make your Twitter page more recognizable in search engines.

If you follow these simple steps you’ll be able to build a strong Twitter army in no time!

Have you been Dreaming about a way out?

Do you want to spend more time with your family?

Do you want to be your own boss?

Do you want to make more money?

Are you tired of me asking these questions?

All joking aside if you’re one of those people who have been thinking about starting to work from home for years and years I have a question for you. If you don’t do it right now when will you ever?

That’s a pretty serious question because so many people spend so long thinking about getting started that they never actually get around do doing it. If you want to start working from home there has never been a better time to do it.

Lets face it. The economy is in the toilet and it’s not getting better nearly as fast as people would like. People are still losing their jobs and the people who have their jobs aren’t getting as many raises and certainly don’t have all the benefits they’d like.

If you do happen to be one of the few people who has a great job with great benefits you’re probably working yourself silly. So if now isn’t a great time to start working from home when will you?

If you want to change your life you have to change what you’re doing, mix things up, take a chance on something that can change you life forever!

So what is it going to take for you to make a decision and start living your better life now? Because I’m going to tell you something that might sound pretty blunt. If you’re not willing to do it now you’re never going to do it. If you’re now willing to do something different in the worst economic crisis or our lifetime you’ll never be willing to do it.

Take a leap of faith and do something that you’ve been dreaming about from your cubicle for years. Become your own boss, make way more money, spend more time with your family and start working from home today.

Death By Knowledge

You’ve heard it over and over again. “knowledge is power!”

Now I’m not trying to say anything bad about knowledge but the truth of the matter is that sometimes have too much knowledge can be a very bad thing.

You may have heard the term paralysis by analysis and that’s exactly what can happen when you focus more on gathering information than actually acting on that information.

When it comes to your home based business there are a huge number of people who are all about gathering information. “Well once I understand more about the comp plan I’ll really get started”, “Once I do more research on the best home based business I’ll get started in one”, “I’m just researching things right now… then I’ll really get busy working my business”.

If you’re one of those people, someone who has to have all the facts before they make a move, you’re going to have to change a little bit if you really want to have success in a home based business.

Like I said before, there is nothing wrong with knowledge at all, as long as you don’t let it cripple you and stop you from making the most out of your home based business.

I’ve met a number of “information gatherers” in my time as a network marketer and very, very few of them have ever made any money in their chosen business and most of them aren’t even in the business anymore.

If you are one of those people I don’t want to discourage you and make you believe that you can’t be successful… because you can! I simply want to let you know that the sooner you take action the sooner you’ll start making money!

Action, even if it’s misdirected action is always better than inaction. Gathering knowledge is inaction. Don’t go out and spend money on a business without finding out anything about it, that would be foolish, but get the information quickly and get to work!

Ready. Aim. Fire!

Not, Ready. Aim…. aim…..aim……aim….

Aiming won’t get you anywhere. Take action and start changing your life with the help of a home based business today.

Believe it or not… your product doesn’t even matter!

There are probably very, very few people who haven’t at one time or another thought about starting a home based business.

It’s easy to see why it’s so appealing… work from home (heck even work in your PJ’s!), spend more time with your family, fire your boss, make more money…ect.

However when it comes to actually doing something about your dream of working from home most people won’t even get started. It’s sad to think that so many people are dying to work from home but sadly they probably never will.

In my experience as a network marketer I’ve heard a lot of reasons for not getting started but the biggest one by far is simply that they are afraid they are going to get scammed.

It’s not an irrational fear really. There are scams out there after all, and for a lot of people it can be hard to tell the difference. Some people might even say it’s impossible, but it’s not.

Spotting a home business scam is really very simple if you know what you’re looking for.

#1 Thing To Look For…

Lack of a product. It is 100% illegal to have a business and no product. When you are checking out a home based business for the first time make sure you find out what product you will be marketing.

While it’s good to find a product you can be passionate about you actually can make money even with a horrible product… lots of people have done it in the past. The product however, does have to exist.

If the person you are speaking with can’t tell you the product run and run fast. You’re about to get scammed.

#2 Thing To Look For…

A company’s reputation. Now listen to me when I say that you don’t have to sign up with a company that’s been around for 20 years or more. There are a lot of really great start up or ground floor companies out there.

However if you can’t find out anything about their corporate office (or they don’t have one), and you can’t find any real people just like you who are actually making money you’re probably dealing with a scam.

Scammers don’t like to put down too many roots so they won’t have a corporate office, they won’t have very many employees and they just generally won’t stay in one place for too long. Never… ever send money to someone who can’t give you at least a little bit of information about their company’s reputation.

#3 Thing To Look For…

They won’t tell you what you’ll be doing up front. Before you pay any money to someone to start a business you should know 3 things: the product, a little bit about the company its self and what you are going to be doing to make money.

Will you be selling the product? Will you be bringing other people into the business? Both? This is the final thing you should find out before becoming involved in a home based business.

Before I end this article here are a few other good points.

First of all just because someone asks for money up front doesn’t make it a scam. All real businesses cost money to start. After all if you were going to start a traditional business it would take money to get started right? An internet business is no different.

Most home based businesses require that you also get other people involved and help to train them. This is also not the mark of a scam. It’s just a business structure, no more no less.

Finally, just because you hear a few bad reviews about a business doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a scam. People leave companies all the time and sometimes they are angry. It is super easy to write an angry blog post or say something on the internet when you are upset. So make sure you really get your facts and make sure you’re not just listening to a jilted ex-business owner.

Follow these steps and you won’t be fooled by the scammers out there, and hopefully you’ll find an awesome business that can give you the kind of freedom that only working for yourself can provide!

How Long Will it Take To Create Success in a Home Business

If you’re thinking about joining a home based business you’re probably wondering a couple of things. Which business is right for me and how long will it take for me to see success in it?

The first thing you’ll need to figure out when asking yourself the second question is: what is success to me?

For many people making an extra $1000 - $2000 a month would make all the difference in the world. For others success means $100,000 - $250,000 to match the income of the job they’ve lost or fear they may lose. Whatever the number is for you and your family you’ll need to figure it out before you can get a good idea of how long it will take you to attain it.

Once you know your magic number it’s really up to how strong your company (or future company’s) compensation plan is and how hard you are willing to work.

There are all kinds of different compensation plans out there in the home based business arena some are designed to help people make a lot of money fast while others are more tailored to letting people build steady income more slowly. If you have yet to join a home based business you should choose the one that’s best for you.

The best compensation plans are the ones that allow you to build a strong and steady income while creating some good cash flow with the help of bonuses and incentive money.

The next thing you’ll want to do is think about what you’ll be doing to accomplish you goal. There are ways to work smarter and now harder. Marketing online is a great way to maximize your time and energy because what happens on the internet stays on the internet and what you do now can help grow your business for months and years to come.

If you know how to properly market on the internet you can see success much, much faster than the average home business owner.

So to sum it all up, you’ll need to set a goal and figure out what the word success really means to you. You’ll also need to find ways to get the most out of your marketing time and finally the thing that can never be replaced when trying to build a business you’re going to need to work hard and believe in yourself.

Success in a home based business is completely attainable, get there this year with some hard work and a little preparation.
